What we do for Perth homes
Everything your home needs to run on sunshine
Start with one, or bundle them. We’ll show you how each one fits your home and your bills.

Solar & home batteries
Make your own power by day. Use it all night.
Perth gets plenty of sun, but most of it lands while you’re at work. Without a battery, your spare solar goes back to the grid for a small feed-in credit, then you buy power back at full price in the evening.
A battery changes that. Your panels charge it during the day, and your home runs on that stored energy through the evening peak and overnight.
- Back-up power for selected circuits during a grid outage is available with a backup-capable inverter and wiring (extra cost). Not all batteries provide back-up.
- Batteries from FOX ESS (including the EQ4800) and Deye (including the AI-W5.1-B)
- Hybrid and AC-coupled inverters, so we can add a battery to many existing solar systems. We’ll check yours.
- Panels from brands including JA Solar, Risen, DAS Solar and Trina Solar
- Written quote with standard installation and inclusions listed. Any Cheaper Home Batteries discount is shown on your quote (eligibility applies).
Federal battery rebate
Check your battery rebate
Rebate eligibility is set by the Australian Government and can change. We’ll confirm what applies to your home in writing before you commit.
The Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program provides a discount on eligible home batteries through small-scale technology certificates (STCs). The discount depends on usable battery capacity and the install date, and it steps down on a set schedule to 2030. The battery must be installed by an SAA-accredited installer. We’ll show the exact discount on your written quote. National Renewable is not part of, or endorsed by, the Australian Government. The discount reduces on a set schedule, so it’s worth checking what applies now.
Already have solar with us? You’re not just another lead. We installed your system and we know your property, so we can tell you quickly which battery fits and what discount applies to you.
Adding solar or a battery can change your electricity plan and feed-in tariff. Check with your retailer. We’ll explain the network approval steps in your quote.
- We check your eligibility
- We size the battery to your home
- We trade your small-scale technology certificates (STCs) on your behalf through some of Australia’s largest aggregators and clearing houses, to get you the best value
VIVA heat pump hot water
Hot water that runs on air and sunshine
A heat pump pulls warmth from the air to heat your water. Based on Clean Energy Regulator register data, the VIVA 270 L (model VIVA270-1) can use up to about 70% less energy than a standard electric storage water heater (AS/NZS 4234, medium household, best climate zone). Pair it with your solar and run it in the middle of the day, and your hot water can be largely powered by your solar when it runs during the day.
Sources: Clean Energy Regulator register of air source heat pump models (VIVA270-1, eligible 25 Mar 2025 to 31 Dec 2030); VIVA 270 L datasheet (PDF) and VIVA product page. The energy saving is calculated from register data against the AS/NZS 4234 reference water heater. Savings depend on your household and conditions.
- VIVA 270 L all-in-one heat pump: A++ energy grade (manufacturer-stated) and listed on the Clean Energy Regulator register of STC-eligible air source heat pumps
- 7-year parts warranty on the tank and refrigeration system, with 5 years parts and labour (VIVA warranty table); conditions apply
- Designed to work with your solar system
- Options for home hot water and pool heating
EV charging
Charge your car from your own roof
A home EV charger installed by our local team and matched to your car, your switchboard and your solar. Run it in the middle of the day and your car can be charged largely from your own panels.
- Home EV chargers are available to purchase outright
- Installing solar? Ask us about adding an EV charger when you install solar.
- We recommend a charger to suit your car, switchboard and solar
- Installed by our local team

Questions
Common questions from Perth homeowners
What workmanship warranty do you give?
Our residential installs come with a 10-year National Renewable workmanship warranty. It covers our installation work and sits alongside the manufacturers’ product warranties and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Full terms are in your quote.
Can you add a battery to my existing solar system?
Usually, yes. We use hybrid and AC-coupled inverter options so a battery can be added to many existing systems. We’ll check your current set-up and tell you what will work.
Do I qualify for the federal battery rebate?
Many Perth homes adding an eligible battery do, but it depends on the battery, the installer and the install date. Use our rebate check above and we’ll confirm what applies to you in writing.
Which areas do you cover?
All of the Perth metro area, from the northern suburbs to the hills and south of the river. Beyond Perth, including the South West, we work with an established network of local installation partners, so you get faster response times and local help after the install. We stay the company responsible for the work. Ask us about your location.
Do you repair systems you didn’t install?
We service systems we installed. We don’t service systems installed by others, as it could interfere with their warranty. Ask our team about our Aftercare cleaning and maintenance plan.
